BitTorrent to Launch BTTC 2.0 Upgrade to Accelerate Deflation and Revamp Staking Rewards

BitTorrent Chain (BTTC) is gearing up for a major transformation with the introduction of the BTTC 2.0 upgrade. This strategic move is aimed at improving the efficiency of the network and strengthening the value of its native BTT token. The upgrade introduces a deflationary tokenomics model that will reduce the total production of BTTC 2.0 tokens.

This initiative aims to increase the scarcity of the token, thereby strengthening its long-term value and contributing to a more sustainable ecosystem. Along with the token scarcity measures, BTTC will adjust the annual percentage yield (APY) of staking to 6%.

The reduction in on-chain token production will lead to a more consistent reward distribution system. More nodes joining BTTC 2.0 as validators will contribute to greater decentralization and security of the network. The change will create a more distributed reward pool, ensuring fair participation opportunities for validators.
