SUI has surpassed TRON to become the third-largest blockchain by daily active addresses, rising to 2.46 million users.
The broader crypto market continues to trend downward, and Sui (SUI) is among the tokens most impacted. As of today, the price of SUI stands at $2.17, reflecting a 9.73% drop in the last 24 hours.
Over the past week, the token has recorded a 19.97% decline. However, while price indicators show a downturn, network activity on the Sui blockchain presents a different narrative.
Sui Overtakes Tron in Active Address Rankings
According to recent blockchain activity data, Sui has risen to become the third-largest network by active addresses, surpassing Tron. Daily active addresses on Sui surged from 1.38 million to 2.46 million, marking an increase of 1.08 million users.
This shift has pushed Tron down to fourth place after its activity slightly decreased to 2.45 million from 2.77 million.

Meanwhile, Solana continues to lead in terms of daily active addresses, although it has experienced a significant decline. Solana’s active users dropped by 789,000, moving from 5.2 million to 4.4 million.
In the same period, BNB Chain rose from sixth to fifth place, climbing from 1.04 million to 1.49 million active addresses. Base, however, fell from fifth to seventh in the rankings as it lost traction.
Declining Metrics on Tron Network
Notably, address data from IntoTheBlock confirms the decreasing user activity on Tron. New addresses declined by 3.06%, indicating a slowdown in onboarding. Additionally, active addresses fell by 6.86%, which may suggest short-term network stabilization after recent growth.
At the same time, zero-balance addresses on Tron increased by 16.42%, reflecting high wallet churn.
Sui Still Hitting Milestones
Further data from Crypto Banter reveals that Sui surpassed 8 billion total transactions between May 2023 and January 2025. The platform also recorded over 2.9 billion transaction blocks during this period. This milestone ranked Sui among the most transacted networks globally in terms of volume.
In addition, Suiscan reports that total user accounts on Sui have exceeded 123 million as of early April 2025. Over 4.1 million new accounts joined the network this month, with 100,296,679 active. This reflects a high activity ratio of over 81%.
The chart provided by Suiscan shows a parabolic growth trend beginning in late 2024 and continuing into the first quarter of 2025.
