XRP Healthcare Grows Its Footprint in Africa with Pharma Ville Buyout

• XRP Healthcare has acquired Pharma Ville in its effort to transform healthcare in Uganda.
• Pharma Ville is expected to undergo operational upgrades including the implementation of a new Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system and digitization of payment integration.

Leading healthcare solutions provider built on the XRP Ledger (XRPL), XRP Healthcare (XRPH), has announced a strategic acquisition of Pharma Ville, a leading retail and wholesale pharmacy chain in Uganda. According to the official release, this decision underscores its relentless effort to expand into the fast-growing African healthcare sector.

This acquisition was made on the advice of Uganda’s premier law firm, Shonubi Musoke & Co. Advocates, for seamless regulatory and legal transition. Specifically, the acquisition includes 18 products ready for immediate commercialization, 60 registered pharmaceutical products, as well as 70 extra products that are reportedly awaiting regulatory approval.

Our research shows that Pharma Ville has two retail pharmacies and five distribution centres across the country. Based on the report, it plays a crucial role in the healthcare sector of Uganda as it ensures the smooth and reliable supply of important medicines in collaboration with National Medical Stores (NMS) and Joint Medical Stores (JMS).

Commentaries on the XRP Healthcare Acquisition of Pharma Ville

According to the founder and CEO of Pharma Ville, Richard Kitonsa (MPS), joining XRP Healthcare is a significant step towards the rapid scale of its operation. Also, he believes that this move would introduce innovative technologies to serve the healthcare needs of the country.

For now, there would be an immediate operational upgrade on Pharma Ville, including enhancing distribution channels for wider reach, advancing inventory management as part of the plans to optimize the supply chain, implementing new Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems to improve customer engagement, upgrading licensing to expand product offering, and digitizing payment integration for easy transactions.

Commenting on this, the Chairman of XRP Healthcare, Whitney Lynn disclosed that the key objective of this acquisition is to ensure that medicines are more accessible and affordable. Meanwhile, the CEO of XRP Healthcare, Kain Roomes believes that there would be an extra effort to optimize healthcare delivery.

The Chief Operations Officer (COO) of XRP Healthcare Laban Roomes has also disclosed that the team spent enough time in Uganda to access and develop the needed framework for this operation.

We have spent significant time in Uganda developing the legal and operational frameworks necessary to scale this business rapidly. Our efforts will drive long-term improvements in healthcare accessibility.

XRPH’s visions include transforming global healthcare through mergers, acquisitions, and blockchain. Our report mentioned that it seeks to merge and acquire 1,500 to 2,000 private health institutions globally.

Lauding the recent acquisition, the strategic advisor to UNICEF, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, and now XRP Healthcare, Peter Waiswa, highlighted that this would strengthen the position of Uganda in the health sector. According to him, this would foster economic growth while ensuring that essential technologies are introduced to the industry.

By the fourth quarter of the year (Q4 2025), Pharma Ville will be fully rebranded as XRP Healthcare. Meanwhile, the overall healthcare market in Africa has been projected to reach $259 billion by 2030.
