Raoul Pal Says SUI Will Outperform XRP for the Rest of This Bull Run

Industry commentator Raoul Pal, CEO of Real Vision, argues that the trendy altcoin SUI will outperform XRP for the rest of the bull run.

Pal shared his view in a recent video where he discussed his perspective on the future of key cryptocurrencies during the ongoing bull run. While Solana (SOL) and XRP have been strong performers, Pal believes the newer SUI token is poised to outperform both in the coming months.

SUI Against Solana and XRP

Pal compared the performance of the SUI token with that of XRP and Solana. He noted that SUI is breaking out from an inverse Head and Shoulders pattern. This development signals the potential for a significant upside.

Pal acknowledged that while Solana (SOL) continues to show strength and is expected to keep rising, shifting some assets from Solana into SUI could offer better returns.

“Solana is a more proven, second-cycle protocol, and it is likely to perform well,” Pal explained, “But SUI, which is newer and riskier, looks like it will provide the alpha during this phase of the market.”

XRP Strength vs SUI Potential

Despite his confidence in Solana, Pal acknowledged the ongoing strength of XRP. However, he pointed out that the upward trend of SUI is outperforming XRP, suggesting that the new token has the potential for even greater gains.

“We’ve hit the bottom of the trend channel for SUI, and it’s likely to outperform XRP going forward,” Pal said. He clarified that this doesn’t imply XRP will decline but that SUI will deliver better returns for holders.

Despite Pal’s bullish outlook on SUI, he acknowledged the strength of XRP’s chart. The token has been building a series of wedges with the potential for an explosive move higher. He also drew attention to XRP’s breakout from a seven-year downtrend.

“The massive 7-year wedge has broken on XRP’s weekly chart, and it’s unclear where this could go. It’s very powerful,” Pal said.

Still, when comparing SUI to XRP, Pal maintains that SUI could surpass XRP’s performance when the bulls reemerge.

SUI Performance

Notably, SUI ranks among the best-performing crypto assets in this ongoing bull run. It is currently trading in a price discovery phase similar to Bitcoin, having broken multiple all-time highs. It established a new peak 11 days ago at $4.93, and proponents expect SUI to break into the $5 range soon.

Remarkably, SUI traded below $1 just three months ago, in September. At its current market price of $4.26, SUI boasts a one-year gain of 413%, compared to 250% for XRP. Given its tendency for spectacular growth, Pal expects SUI to continue dominating the market trend.

Concentration Over Diversification

Meanwhile, in his broader investment philosophy, Pal emphasized the value of concentration rather than diversification. He warned that spreading bets across too many assets can lead to underperformance.

He revealed that his strategy is to concentrate 80-90% of his portfolio on the main tokens—Solana, Bitcoin, and Ethereum—while allocating a smaller portion to assets he believes will outperform, such as SUI.

Pal also pointed out that meme coins could form a small, riskier portion of a portfolio, but investors should be prepared for potential losses.

“You’ll have fun with meme coins, but they are likely to rekt you,” he warned.
