According to Polymarket data, the probability of an XRP ETF being approved has climbed to 69%, marking a 21% increase lately. This sudden rise in likelihood reflects growing confidence among market participants, many of whom view XRP as a potential leader in crypto investment products.

A prior forecast indicated a 48% probability of approval by mid-2025. Nonetheless, recent shifts in sentiment, driven by expectations of a pro-crypto U.S. administration and favorable leadership at the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), have propelled optimism.

The SEC is currently reviewing four separate applications for XRP ETFs. Prominent asset management firms, including 21Shares, Bitwise, Canary Capital, and WisdomTree, are behind these filings. Their active participation signals strong belief in XRP’s potential as a mainstream investment option.

The buzz around XRP is part of a broader trend of interest in crypto ETFs. Solana, another prominent crypto, has emerged as a strong contender, with Polymarket data suggesting a 74% chance of ETF approval in 2025. This represents a 22% rise within a single day, surpassing the optimism surrounding XRP.

In contrast, other cryptocurrencies face less favorable odds. The likelihood of Dogecoin and Litecoin ETFs being approved currently stands at 23% and 42%, respectively. Despite Dogecoin’s growing popularity, supported by figures like Elon Musk and its strong meme-based narrative, regulatory hurdles persist.

Bloomberg ETF analyst Eric Balchunas commented on the wave of enthusiasm for altcoin ETFs. He noted the challenges posed by lengthy approval processes and the absence of active filings for some assets. However, he acknowledged that changes in SEC leadership might accelerate approvals, fueling anticipation across the crypto market.
