Mawari Corporation has launched an extended reality fan engagement platform designed to provide immersive 3D meet-and-greet experiences for Vtuber fans.
Vtubexr Eliminates the Need for Specialized Studio Setups
Decentralized Physical Infrastructure Networks (DePIN) project Mawari Corporation recently launched Vtubexr, an extended reality (XR) fan engagement platform enabling immersive 3D Vtuber-fan interactions. The platform is expected to provide a fully immersive 3D meet-and-greet experience, adding “unparalleled” personalization to how fans interact with their favorite Vtubers.
In a May 26 statement, Mawari said the fan engagement platform eliminates the need for specialized studio setups. It also enables flexible and global deployment far beyond conventional local systems. Vtubexr is also said to be compatible with major XR devices such as Meta Quest or AR glasses and mobile apps. Commenting on Vtubexr’s launch, Mawari CEO Luis Oscar Ramirez Solorzano said:
With vTubeXR, we’re creating a new era where fans can truly meet and connect with virtual creators in ways that were never before possible. It bridges the gap between virtual performance and real-world intimacy through real-time, interactive 3D technology.
Meanwhile, the statement also announced Mawari’s partnership with two of Japan’s prominent Vtuber agencies — Brave group and Virtual Avex. Under the partnership, the two Vtuber agencies, as part of Mawari’s Early Access program, will showcase Vtubexr’s immersive Vtuber meet-and-greet experiences at Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai.
As part of Mawari’s invite-only Early Access Program, Vtubers will have a chance to use immersive XR technology to revolutionize 3D fan engagement. Partners in this program will receive priority access to new features, dedicated onboarding support, and customizable monetization options. These features are intended to help Vtubers maximize the value of their intellectual property.
Mawari and the two Japanese Vtuber agencies are expected to continue to explore the global potential of XR entertainment “to deliver innovative, borderless fan experiences.” Virtual Avex is expected to launch regular weekend events using Vtubexr starting June 2025. Brave Group also is expected to launch new initiatives such as XR live performances, interactive storytelling events, and fan engagement experiences within virtual spaces.
According to a statement, Vtubers are a booming phenomenon in Japan, with the market expected to hit $1.5 billion by 2026. A Mawari survey found high demand for immersive, personalized experiences, with 76% wanting more and 86% willing to pay for real-time spatial interactions.
